Built in 1854, the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Hibben and Church streets was used as a Confederate hospital during the Civil War.
Mt. Pleasant is the home of Patriots Point, the world's largest naval and maritime museum complex.
Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is the town's central business district.

Boone Hall Plantation
Originally a cotton plantation of over 17,000 acres, it has live oaks in the South, believed to be planted in 1743. Original plantation buildings include nine 18th century slave cabins, built of brick made on the plantation, and the Gin House, used for processing cotton.

Charles Pinckney National Historic Site
Charles Pinckney National Historic Site preserves the homestead of Charles Pinckney, one of the developers of the United States Constitution. There are exhibits, interpretive programs, nature walks and more that are open to everyone.

Congressional Medal of Honor Museum
This museum commemorates the highest form of recognition for an U.S. Armed Services officer. The museum itself sits on the hangar deck of the USS Yorktown at Patriot's Point.

Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum
This museum is located on historic Charleston Harbor and is home to the USS Yorktown VC-10, the Fighting Lady. World War II destroyer USS Laffey DD-724 is also here.

Mount Pleasant Farmer's Market
The Mount Pleasant Farmer's Market is open every Tuesday in April through October from 4 p.m. until dark. Here you will find fresh produce, hot food, plants and other locally produced items. Every month with a fifth Tuesday is the Bonus market, that features many family activities.
