Mount Pleasant Academy
The student population in Mount Pleasant Academy is composed of 11% African-Amercian, 2% Asian, 1% Hispanic, and 85% White. The school is famous for having garnered the Palmetto Gold Award (2004-2005). It also has the oldest public school in South Carolina. The average class size is 20-24 (according to the Kaleidoscope program), and the school's official colors are blue and white.
